Braces
It's Time to Start Your Smile Transformation
Braces are the most common form of orthodontic treatment
Clear Braces
Clear braces are made of ceramic, and therefore are popular among teens and adults because they are less noticeable. Ceramic braces do not require any colors; the only metal that shows is the small wire passing through the brackets. While they are clear, ceramic braces are slightly larger than traditional metal brackets, and typically are only placed on the upper teeth. Clear braces are ideal for someone who has cosmetic concerns but does not desire aligner treatment.

What To Expect
Similar to metal braces, adjustments are scheduled every six to ten weeks to progress treatment. After each adjustment, minor discomfort of the teeth is expected, but usually resolves after 48 hours. Clear braces are also easy to care for. Clear braces are durable however certain foods (hard candies, nuts, ice cubes) must be avoided to prevent fracturing the brackets.
Metal Braces
Metal braces are smaller and stronger than ceramic brackets. You also have the option to customize the way your braces look using different colors. Colors can be changed at every appointment, so you can try something new every time!

What To Expect
Braces are a very predictable, easy to control treatment method. Adjustments take place every six to ten weeks to progress treatment. After each adjustment, minor discomfort of the teeth is expected, but usually resolves after 48 hours. Braces are easy to care for and require less patient responsibility than aligner treatment. The most important things to remember are brush your teeth, avoid hard foods that damage your braces and following any instructions given by Dr. Freeman.
