How Does a 3D Scanner Work?
3-D Scanning uses a very small camera to take hundreds of images of your teeth which are "stitched" together into a Three-Dimensional model in real time. The Scanner does not use any radiation, heat or air so there is no discomfort for the patient!
How Does a 3D Scanner Feel?
Having scans done of your teeth are very comfortable. The only thing required of you is keeping your mouth open during the scan. The scan will normally take anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes, and will not cause any irritation to your lips, gums, teeth or cheeks.
